A critical look at contemporary graphic design at the intersection of politics, culture and sustainable practice. As part of the semester programme of the graphic design class of Rebecca Stephany
Facing global shifts towards ethnonationalism, many professions are considering themselves existentially in relation to power imbalances. Within the framework of graphic design education, what critical methodologies can we employ to confront these realities? How sustainable is an ideologically outspoken working practice, at this moment in time? Harsh Patel introduces his research and work as a graphic designer with a focus on the history of graphic design, intersectionality, globalism, communication and distribution strategies.
