The PRIN 2022 project PER – Pensiero Esibito Radicale (Radical Exhibited Thought), led by the University of Udine (second unit: University of Bologna), retraces the history of architectural exhibitions in Italy from the 19th century to the present day. The research outcomes include an open-source digital platform and an edited volume.

The investigation is guided by three key concepts. Pensiero (thought) is understood as theoretical framework, experimental concept, analytical tool, and paradigm for validation. Esibito (exhibited) reflects the aspiration for interaction and dialogue with those engaging with the exhibition spaces. Finally, Radicale (radical) invites a reconsideration of architecture from its roots, encompassing its cultural, artistic, social, and political dimensions.
